As we approach the end of november, DS lite shortages are becoming apparent. UK and EU models are becoming increasingly difficult to get, and it will be a matter of weeks before the shops are out of stock. We all remember last year, with the 12 week waiting lists on DS lite, and that was when the DS had already been released for quite some time. We predict the same will occur this year with the DS, Wii, and Wii Fit. We currently have stock or stock coming in all of these items, so if you are considering buying or selling, you should start planning now so you are not left dissapointed. With the drop in the US dollar, businesses will struggle to import additional supplies from the states, and the euro situation is not much better. If you do manage to get your hands on a product this year, make sure you do so fast as we predict buying gaming and technology will be harder this year than we have seen for some time - and probably more expensive!!

A couple of US sellers who are advertising that VAT will be chargeable on top of the £149 price and shipping, and a few hongkong sellers. This is a market opportunity. Why not sell to pay your fees. Ebay fees average at about 7% of your sales price, so how can you reclaim this?
 
1. List your product at our price plus ebays fees at around 7%
2. Accept payment via another method to avoid paypals 3% fee.
3. Sell as buy it now only
4. Increase your postage to whatever amount you choose above our £6.99 rate. On a PS3 you could realistically charge £14.99-£19.99, meaning you make a clear profit of  £8-£13.
 
Make sure your postage is realistic but look at making a markup on this. For example if you made £5 markup on 10 sales per day, thats £50 per day, £350 per week, £1400 per month.
 
Our prices are market wholesale prices, ebay prices are not market prices, which sometimes makes it look like you cant compete, but remember, not all ebay prices include VAT. Your prices are VAT inclusive and what you pay is the final price, which is the same for your customers. Paypal - Not the only way to recieve payments!

Have you noticed the increasing cost of paypal and ebay fees when selling items. Try to accept different payment methods such as postal order, bank transfer or cheque to open up your profit margins. If you can save a £5 per sale by avoiding paypal, thats £5 in your pocket on top of your retail profit. Also with the new fast pay system, introduced this year, all cheques, and bank transfers clear instantly, so you can easily recieve payments and pay us for your orders by this method, and eliminate the paypal fees normally paid when you sell an item. For example, someone who sell 10 items a week, and pays a typical paypal fee of £5 per transaction, would save £200 per month, which could be in your pocket instead of paypals. Give it a go, as you could really increase your profit.

Ebay Selling prices Not Always What They Seem!

On ebay you will see many sellers who are able to sell at much lower prices than you. What you dont see is the price that the item sells at is no always the final price. Most powersellers are importers, so once the item has sold, and been sent to the buyer, a VAT invoice will also be sent by the courier. This usually arrives a couple of weeks later once feedback has been left. Even if it is a UK seller, the item may come from overseas which will make it a taxable import. The point is that even if it looks like someone is selling cheaper than you, it is not always the case. This is a good point to raise, and specify that you are a UK seller. We hope that helps.
