How does our service work?
Small businesses fnd it difficult to compete because larger retailers have the spending power to purchase bigger volumes of stock, allowing them to obtain discounts and sell at a lower price. This means the small business is unable to compete and is losing business because they are unable to offer a low price.
Big Yellow Dropshipping has found a solution to the problem.
Suppliers and wholesalers have minimum orders which mean that if you wanted to buy Nintendo DS and sell at a profit, and still be competitive, you would have to buy 100, 200 , 500 or more units. This is impossible for the small seller.
How do we allow you to buy at a low price and make profit?
We allow members to reserve products, which enables the minimum order of a wholesaler to be met. This means if a wholsalers minimum order on nintendo DS is 100 units, effectivley, 50 or 100 members could reserve these items, and purchase as a group. This allows the small retailer to purchase a small number of items at the wholsale price he would get if he purchased, say 100 items. This is how you make your profit when you resell the item.
What are the benefits of using a dropshipping service?
By puchasing a membership from ourselves you benefit from the following:
1. Unlike most retailers you do not purchase stock in advance.
2. You are not risking money by purchasing from suppliers you have no knowledge of, and therefore eliminating the risk of being sold faulty goods, counterfiet, or not recieving your items at all.
3.You do not have to worry about import and taxes, as you would if you sourced your own products,as this is handled by ourselves. You can focus on making money instead.
4. You have access to a constant stream of high quality stock which is guaranteed to make you excellent profits.
5. You will recieve ongoing support and advice, so if you want to grow your business, we will tell you how to do this.
6. You do not work for us, we simply allow you access to our stock, so you choose what you sell, when you sell it, and how much for.
7. We do not mark up stock price, and make no money from this, so you will always have a competitive advantage on sellers using other dropship programmes.
Why do I have to pay a membership fee?
The reason we ask for a membership fee, is to ensure that only you as a retailer have access to our stock. If no membership fee was in place, then your potential customers would buy from us direct. Your membership fee ensures that only retailers have access to stock which they can resell to customers. Many companies who do not charge a membership fee, mark up prices, so to ensure you are up and running, and able to make profit from day one, we charge a small fee which entitles you to a range of benefits as a member.
Do I have to pay for the item I reserve immediately?
You reserve the item by logging in to your members area. You are free to sell the item/s you reserve once we have confirmed your reservation by email, usually within 1 hour, for example, you may use ebay, have your own online store, or a mail order business. So in theory you could have sold the item and made profit, before you have even paid for it. You will be invoiced through paypal, and you will be required to make payment once your item has sold, and provide delivery details of your buyer if you have these. Your order will then be processed, and we will arrange despatch.
What if the items I reserve do not sell?
No problem, just cancel the invoice or try again. Its your business so you choose what you sell and when you pay for it.
Is the profit breakdown in the members area what I would make if I sold the product?
In the members area we indicate the RRP for the product, the price you would buy this for and the estimated profit you would make. This is not set in stone as it depends where you sell the item. In todays competitive market we have tried to be as realistic as possible in our forecasts for profit, and have based our RRP and estimated sale price on an average of what similar items are selling for on other sites such as ebay and amazon. We do not use the RRP provided my manufacturers, as this is often unrealistic on the marketplace. Our RRP is based on the average sale price on amazon, ebay etc, and our sale price to you is way below this, which means the profits are there to be made, and you can compete with other traders to win business.
On products such as games, we would say expect around 50-75% of the estimated profit stated. This allows you to be competitive. And remember, the secret to making good profits is in the volume you sell. This allows you to compete with other sellers, and allows the little profits to mount up, and create a good income.
How Do I calculate my sale price?
Here is an example of how it would work:
You reserve a PS3 40GB at £246
You place an advertisement and sell the item at £279
You charge our shipping as shown on the product page at £14.99
Total sale price £293.99
You then pay us £260.99
You profit by the difference of £33
How do Big Yellow Dropshipping calculate the price that they sell the item to the members?
The price our members recieve is based on the wholesale price when the minimum order level is reached. The price you pay is stated in ther members area next to each product. This however is not the price you will always pay. This is the highest price you will pay. So if the minimum order is 10 units and the price to members is £4.99, if 10 units were sold this is what you would pay. If however 100 units sold, then the price may go down to 1.99 per item. This is because it is a larger order, and therefore a better wholesale discount is given to members who reserved this item. This enables you to make even better profits, as unlike most dropship companies, we do not mark up our items, and make no money from actual product sales.
What methods of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit & debit cards through paypal. This means all orders are guaranteed.
Can I sell the item I reserve immediately?
You are free to sell the item from when you reserve it.
Please note: If you sell our items on ebay, it is reccommended that you use auctions no less than 7 days in duration, however you are free to list as many items as you choose to maximise your profit and sales within that timescale.
We can provide images and item descriptions by email should you require these to list your items.
How long does delivery of my item take?
Delivery of items takes between 3 & 7 days, and we will provide tracking information when your order has been despatched.
What if the item is damaged or broken when recieved by my client?
All stock is under warranty and is guaranteed fo 18 months, so if there is any damage to the item, repair or a replacement will be issued.
Our returns policy covers the item for 10 days from purchase, and the item must be returned in the same condition it was sent, in all origional packaging for a refund to be issued.
A return address for ourselves will be provided for all returns.
